Abuse may be defined as harassment of the individuals either physically, sexually or emotionally that results in any sort of harm either by a person or else a group.
Neglect refers to deserting or not providing a person with the required medical services as a part of either legal or other form of duty by a firm or a person which endangers the life of the person not cared for.
Financial exploitation refers to gaining control over the assets or wealth of persons by any means such frightening, cheating or force to deprive those people of their own property.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) inquires into the details of any issues of abuse, neglect and exploitation related to the seniors above the age of 60 or else the disabled individuals in the age group of 18-59 and takes necessary action.
The people residing in a long term care center or else a community center is also taken care on receiving a call. If decent service is not offered or else in case the person is not paid required attention, there is a chance of action against the person or the group.
